First Man of Zijin in Čukaru Peki Mine
During a three-day working visit to Serbia, a delegation from the Zijin Mining Group, led by Executive Director and Chairman Chen Jinghe, along with Vice Presidents Shen Shaoyang and Wang Chun and the expert management team, visited Serbia Zijin Mining and the Čukaru Peki mine — Serbia’s first high-tech green mine. Employees across all departments extended a warm welcome to the delegation.
Following a safety briefing, Chairman Chen Jinghe, accompanied by the Vice Presidents, General Manager Chen Yong, and the Serbia Zijin Mining management team, toured the main shafts and the entrance decline of the Čukaru Peki mine. After just one year of production, the mine has become synonymous with advanced technology, safety, environmental stewardship, and the overall success of Zijin Mining Group.
During the visit, the delegation inspected mining operations to ensure they meet the highest standards, and toured the Mineral Processing Plant — one of the company’s key facilities that, together with other supporting plants, enabled Serbia Zijin Mining to achieve record productivity, become the most profitable company in 2022, and secure the top position among Serbia’s largest exporters.
Chairman Chen used the visit to engage directly with employees and management, discussing past achievements and future development plans.
